    Nominations for our Technical Group Vice Chair are due January 31st! Interested in the position, or want to nominate someone you know? Email the name of the nominee and a few sentences about why they are a good fit for the position to our Technical Group Chair, Dr. van Doorn, at ellemieke.vandoorn@ns.nl.

    Position duties include:

    • Attend bi-monthly virtual officer meetings
    • Work alongside and shadow the Technical Group Chair
    • Move into the Technical Group Chair position for 2026

    Technical Group Chair Duties include:

    • Oversee the Technical Group's finances
    • Prepare and lead an annual business meeting for the group, as well as scheduling and leading group officer meeting
    • Serve as a conduit for information exchange between the technical group and the Council of Technical Groups

    Additionally, the deadline for submissions to ASPIRE is quickly approaching! Some important things to note:

    • When: Abstracts are due February 13th
    • What: An extended abstract (2 page maximum) of your work. (Pro-tip: we want to see studies that have already collected and analyzed data!)
    • Where: Find templates, explanations of the different submission types, and more in the submission portal! 
    • PPTG interests: perception research technologies, perception support technologies, human perception characteristics, information presentation, remote control operations
    • Students: After acceptance decisions are made, student-led work is automatically considered for our Best Student Paper Award and travel grants to help offset the cost of the conference!
