    Student Awards
We are pleased to announce this year that we will fund three student awards.

To be eligible for the best student paper award, the student must be a member of the PPTG and first author. All papers accepted by the PPTG that have indicated a student first author will be considered.
The winner is expected to present their paper at the annual meeting.

We will also be funding a student travel grant. Students may be eligible for a contribution of $250 toward their travel expenses when they are first author of a paper accepted by the PPTG. They must be the one presenting the work at the conference and declare they do not have full financial coverage of travel expenses (i.e., their travel is not fully funded by a grant). Details for the application will be released after acceptance decisions for ASPIRE papers are released.

We will again fund two research grants of $500 each for students. Students must be a member of the PPTG to apply. The deadline for applications is April 1st, 2024 - see the attached CFP for details. Grant awardees are expected to inform the technical group of their research outcomes by submitting a research paper to the annual meeting. The student awardee, or their advisor, should also present the research proposal during the PPTG business meeting.
