    Hi all -

I'm Hanna and I'm excited to be named the new Chair of the Macroergonomics Technical Group! I wanted to briefly introduce myself, let you all know that I will be at the HFES Annual Meeting in D.C. next week (and where to find me), and remind you to respond to the poll that the HFES staff sent out on Monday (link included below).

About me: I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Using a human factors and macroergonomic approach, I design and implement health information technologies that support high-quality, equitable, and humane care across the life journey for all. My research seeks to improve acute care transitions of vulnerable populations, support people and their loved ones in managing chronic health conditions in their homes, and design learning health systems that enhance and empower clinical and operational staffs' decision making. Here at the places you are sure to find me at the HFES Annual Meeting if you are attending:

    • Unique considerations for characterizing and describing care work: Articulating the need for an ergonomics of care | Tues Oct 24 1:30-3pm EDT | International Ballroom West
    • (Part 1) Towards building a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive society: Interactive Sessions with the HFES Council of Affinity Group (COAG) Leads | Weds Oct 25 8:30-10am EDT | Cabinet
    • (Part 2) Towards building a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive society: Interactive Sessions with the HFES Council of Affinity Group (COAG) Leads | Fri Oct 27 8:30-10am EDT | Monroe

Survey Request: Please complete this very brief survey to let us know if you plan to attend the HFES Annual Meeting next week in Washington, DC, and to let us know if you are interested in getting involved with the Macroergonomics Technical Group: Macroergonomics Technical Group Poll

Looking forward to connecting with some of you next week & I'll be in touch about future Macro TG activities!

    In appreciation,
