Hi all - wanted to bring everyone's attention to a couple exciting opportunities coming up:
1) The Macroergonomics TG is now accepting nominations for TWO leadership positions: Technical Group Vice Chair & Technical Group Vice Program Chair!
- Technical Group Vice Chair is an elected position. After serving one year, the Technical Group Vice Chair becomes the Technical Group Chair for one year: January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026.
- Technical Group Vice Program Chair is an elected position. After serving one year, the Technical Group Vice Program Chair becomes the Program Chair for one year: January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026.
Nominations, including self-nominations, are accepted
via this form through
Thursday, February 20. Election ballots will be distributed and the election will close February 28. Please consider volunteering your time and leadership to our TG!
2) The
call for ASPIRE 2025 submissions has been EXTENDED until
Tuesday, February 18th. Please consider submitting your Macroergonomics-related work to present at the ASPIRE conference (formerly known as the HFES Annual Meeting) in Chicago this fall.
Whether you submit work to the conference or not, we would also greatly appreciate your support with submission reviews. To indicate your interest in reviewing and your areas of expertise, submit
this form by
Friday, February 14th.
The Macroergonomics TG is excited to be offering scholarships to the workshop. We intend to offer 3 full scholarships to students and up to 5 $100-discounts for other attendees that express need. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and, if approved, you will receive a discount code to use during your registration. Alternatively, if you have already registered for the workshop, HFES staff will help coordinate a refund of the appropriate amount. Applications can be submitted here.
