    Hello,
Hope this message finds you well.
On behalf of the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), we are pleased to invite you to our upcoming Technology Forum-a strategic platform to foster dialogue among key stakeholders on emerging and critical issues at the intersection of technology and disability rights.
We are excited to host a timely and important discussion on the ADA Title II Web Accessibility Regulation, taking place on:
    Date: Tuesday, June 10, 2025
    Time: 4:00 – 5:30 PM ET
    Location: Zoom (link upon registration)

    About the Event
This forum will bring together legal experts, policy leaders, and state officials to explore the legal, administrative, and policy dimensions of the new ADA Title II web accessibility rule. The conversation will shed light on compliance timelines, interpretation of key provisions, implementation strategies, and accountability frameworks.
The session will include 45 minutes of expert presentations followed by 45 minutes of audience Q&A, allowing ample time for direct engagement with our speakers.
This session is particularly relevant for:
    • People with disabilities and disability rights advocates
    • State and local government agencies
    • ADA coordinators
    • Educational institutions and public libraries
    • Organizations supporting or advising on disability policy

    Featured Speakers
We are honored to welcome a distinguished panel of experts, including:
    • Ashley Bloom, Chief Information Accessibility Officer, State of Massachusetts
    • Andrew Drummond, Director of Accessibility, State of Maryland
    • Eve Hill, Partner, Brown, Goldstein & Levy; Leading Civil Rights Attorney
Notably, both Massachusetts and Maryland are among the first states to appoint statewide web accessibility officers. Our speakers will share unique insights into their respective policy approaches, administrative innovations, and early implementation milestones.
Please note: This discussion will focus on policy and legal frameworks, and will not cover technical specifications of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

A great line-up of speakers. Would recommend anyone interested in accessibility join this, but especially if your work is in state/local governments or your company provides digital solutions to the public sector.
