He serves as the Principal Investigator of the Psychology of Design (PoD) Laboratory, which is dedicated to advancing Human Factors and HCI by translating cutting-edge cognitive theory into impactful design solutions. The lab's research program focuses on two critical areas: (1) Optimizing attention management in complex interfaces, applying principles of visual salience and selective attention to domains from e-commerce to aerospace. (2) Creating healthier cybersecurity systems by improving end-user awareness and compliance through cognition-inspired design and human-centered Explainable AI (XAI).

Dr. Still's scholarly work has appeared in top-tier journals, and he is a recognized leader in both research and teaching. He is a Fellow of the Psychonomic Society and the 2019 recipient of the Earl Alluisi Award from APA Division 21, which recognizes outstanding achievements by an applied psychologist within 10 years of earning their Ph.D. His other honors include the university-wide Dr. James V.
