Broad experience in human systems integration, human factors engineering, training, logistics, and user interface design. Experience includes the Space Shuttle; Army ground combat vehicles, unmanned ground and air vehicles; missile systems; and more than 50 Navy and USMC aircraft, including fighter, bomber, attack, electronic warfare, surveillance and reconnaissance, special mission, intelligence, helicopter, vertical lift, transport, trainers, and ASW. Thirty years of technical and management experience with the aerospace industry (Boeing) and 20 years of experience with the Department of Defense, including the Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Development Center, DoD Training and Performance Data Center and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Currently serves as a member of several professional and technical societies, and government-industry associations. Designated as a Boeing Associate Technical Fellow (retired), an Aerospace Medical Association Associate Fellow, and a Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Fellow. Past member of the US Air Force Scientific Advisory Board and National Academy of Sciences and Engineering Panels on Human Factors Science and Analysis and Assessment. Currently, senior consultant with SCMERRIMAN Consulting LLC.
