Dear CEDM Members,
On behalf of the CEDM Officers, I am pleased to announce that Dr. Gaurav Nanda has volunteered to be the new Communications Director for the technical group, effective immediately. Please join me in welcoming him to this role. He will no doubt be reaching out to organize some exciting events for our technical group. Below you can find out a little bit more about Gaurav.
Dr. Gaurav Nanda is an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering Technology at Purdue University. He completed his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and his Masters and Bachelors from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. He works on research problems involving applied machine learning, text mining, and intelligent decision support with applications in safety, smart manufacturing, and STEM education. He teaches courses on Human Factors, Operations Management, and Manufacturing Information Systems. He worked in the software industry before transitioning into academia.
