Dear EDTG members,
I am seeking one or two professors/researchers to speak to the User Experience Design Consortium which I founded in 2004. I arrange and facilitate meetings of this group that consists of managers who are responsible for UX and related functions in their respective companies.
The next meeting will be virtual in early November. It will have sessions, nominally one hour, for engaging with the group on relevant topics. The purpose of the sessions is to impart information that will help these managers lead their teams to greater success and increased organizational value through creation of superior user experiences for products or services. Acceptable topics vary widely. For instance, they could be new data or methods that can be used for user research or user centered design. Or they could be new ways of thinking about UX or about effective leadership. The format can be giving a formal presentation, leading a discussion session, giving a demonstration, or any combination of those. You can find out more about the group and past meeting agendas on the Consortium website.
I will be glad to hear from you if you have an interest in engaging with the Consortium. You can send me a draft proposal or we can discuss your thoughts in a phone call. The available sessions are already being assigned to speakers so we should connect sooner rather than later. Thank you for your consideration.
