      EXTERNAL MESSAGE

    Thomas,
My concern is that having a whole new set of officers will not be healthy for the group. We clearly missed elections last year, putting us in this position. Is there a way to deal with the 2021 position of president elect, and then any of the 2022 officers who wish to step down this year? Then next year have the 2022 expired terms elected for a 3-year term? Or have this year's president elect position (and any positions in which officers wish to step aside) be a 1-year term, to take over after your term ands next year? Either way the goal would be to get alternating year board replacement.

    Thomas,

To Susan's point, not all positions need to be elected. Here is what I have from the 2021 business meeting when I was chair of who will need to be elected this year:
    • TG Chair position is for 2 years so Thomas should be doing it for one more year
    • TG Chair Elect should have been filled at the end of 2021. If there is no one currently in that position, it will need someone elected. The idea is that the Chair Elect position would be up in 2023 and take Thomas's current role.
    • TG Program Chair Elect-Scotty Craig will move up as Program Chair for 2022-2024 and someone will need fill his Elect position
    • Secretary/Treasurer needs to be filled unless Amirmasoud would like to do one more term
    • Electronic Comms Director/Webmaster need to be filled unless Deborah would like to do one more term
    • Newsletter Editor needs to be filled unless Susan would like to do one more term

    Hope this helps.
