Dear HART TG members,
We will continue to host our monthly HART TG Member Conversations on the last Tuesday of each month at 12 pm ET. This is a great learning and network opportunity in HART TG.Our May event will be on Tue, May 31st, at 12 pm ET. The topic of the lightning talk will be STEAHM-based Autonomy Convergence Research. Our invited speaker is Dr. Nhut Tan Ho. A rough agenda is about 10 min lightning talk, 20 min Q&A, and 30 min small group networking.
Dr. Nhut Tan Ho is currently the Founding Director of the NASA-sponsored Autonomy Research Center for Science, Technology and engineering, Entrepreneurship and business, Art and design, Humanities, and Mathematics (STEAHM) and a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), where he has taken on multifaceted leadership roles with the purpose of making a meaningful and deep impact on students and society. As a change agent, Dr. Ho's leadership purpose is to build institutional research capacity to engage underserved/underrepresented students in STEAHM, and to provide the know-how to higher education systems in the developing world to transform curricula and culture, and produce graduates that meet international accreditation standards. As a teacher, his leadership purpose is to transform the learning environment in ways that not only improve the engagement and retention of all students in STEM fields, with a special emphasis on minority and underserved students, but also help them achieve their full potentials. As a researcher, his leadership purpose is to form and lead multi-disciplinary teams and conduct cutting edge research and use scientific discovery as a means to make a practical and substantial impact on people's lives.
