The HFES Cognitive Engineering & Decision Making (CEDM) Technical Group invites submissions to this year's Annual Meeting (ASPIRE). We welcome high-quality contributions from researchers and practitioners that advance our understanding of how people perceive, reason, coordinate, and make decisions in complex sociotechnical systems. We are especially eager to see work grounded in naturalistic decision making and real-world contexts such as aviation, healthcare, emergency response, defense, energy, and other safety-critical or time-pressured domains where human expertise, adaptation, and judgment are central.
If your work examines decision making "in the wild," sensemaking under uncertainty, expertise, resilience, or cognitive work in context, we encourage you to consider CEDM as a primary TG for that work!
We look forward to submissions that push theoretical, methodological, and applied boundaries, and to building a vibrant, cross-domain CEDM community at ASPIRE this year.
