    Colleagues,

I hope this message finds you well. As some of you may already know, the size of our
Systems Science and Industrial Engineering (SSIE) Department (now School) has almost tripled within the last decade or so given an aggressive growth and retention plan. We are now 36 tenured/tenure-track faculty members (growing to 37 in the spring) and over 600 students. As of September 1, 2024, our academic department was also elevated to School status.

Today I am writing to share that we are again hiring – this time for four (4) more tenured or tenure-track positions. These are all new additions to our school and we could use your assistance in distributing this announcement widely. These positions have a start date of Spring or Fall 2025 (e.g., 2025-2026 academic year) in the areas of: 1) health systems or advanced machine learning and 2) energy systems, storage, and policy. Faculty with expertise in other emerging areas in industrial and systems engineering will also be considered. More details can be found below and attached:

These additional positions follow on the heels of a record hiring year for us and represent another major milestone in the overall growth of our programs, including, but not limited to, significant growth in our research expenditures ($8.5-12 Million annually) and graduate program size. We are extremely excited to welcome so many more bright new minds to join our faculty!

More information about the SSIE School and these positions can be found here: MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from "urldefense.com" claiming to be https://www.binghamton.edu/ssie/employment.html. Please encourage interested candidates to contact me if they have any questions or need additional information.

Thank you in advance for your help in spreading the word!

    Best,

    --
