Hello everyone,
We'll be restarting the Monthly Member Conversation series this Friday. This is one of the perks of being part of HART.
Our first speaker will be Dr. Jiayuan (Jia) Dong, who recently received her Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech. Dr. Dong's work focuses on emotions and trust in human–robot interaction.

Talk title: Did You Know Emotions Can Shape Our Perception, Performance, and Compliance With a Robot in an Escape Room?
In this talk, Dr. Dong will share results from a set of experimental studies looking at how users' emotions (e.g., happiness vs. anger), robot reliability, and team hierarchy affect trust and performance in a collaborative escape-room task with a humanoid robot (Pepper).
This is meant to be an informal space to connect and have real conversations with like-minded folks interested in all things HART.
