Dear XRTG Community,
I am excited to share that I am running for the XRTG Vice Program Chair position! I have been actively connected and engaged with XRTG as the Communications Director/Social Media Manager for the past three years. I am looking forward to continuing to serve XRTG in this new leadership role and am seeking your support and vote.
I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and I earned my Ph.D. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech. During my involvement with XRTG as Communications Director, I have:
• Created and grown XRTG's social media presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, and HFES Connect
• Helped organize and participated in XRTG webinars and community outreach
• Served as a session chair at HFES Annual Meetings
• Supported fellow TG officers to help XRTG achieve the GOLD TG Circle of Excellence Award this year
In the coming years, I would like to be part of expanding XRTG's impact by helping build a more structured program of events, increasing member engagement, and enhancing the representation of students and early-career researchers within the TG. I also plan to collaborate closely with the Program Chair to ensure strong XRTG technical sessions that reflect the exciting growth of XR research and design across our field.
In summary, it would be an honor to serve as your XRTG Vice Program Chair. My past experience supporting XRTG with organizing events and collaborating with officers across the TG has prepared me well for this role. I am confident that I can contribute meaningfully to strengthening our technical program and advancing the visibility and engagement of our community.
