The Stirling Research Group is looking for volunteers to participate in a research study that characterizes professional ergonomist evaluations of a manufacturing task. The purpose of the study is to use ratings and assessments of ergonomists to inform wearable motion sensor metric definition and validation that can be used to support ergonomist decision making.

    General information:

Participants in the study would take part in a Qualtrics survey administered remotely that provides videos of a worker performing tasks, including drilling, fastening, and riveting. After watching each video, you will answer questions about the musculoskeletal risk factors, including rating awkward postures, repetitive movements, exertions, and contact stresses, as well as to provide your general observational feedback and suggested interventions (if needed).

    Eligibility:

You are eligible to participate if you are 18 or older and are employed as an ergonomist.

    Compensation:

A drawing will be held at the conclusion of the data collection and 2 participants will receive a $50 gift card. This raffle follows the state of Michigan raffle guide. There is no cost to participants for entering this raffle. The drawing will occur at the completion of study data collection.

    Duration:

The estimated time to complete the survey is about 90 minutes.
