Dear students,
We are excited to announce a student travel award opportunity for the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) Annual Conference this year.
This award will partially support students interested in attending the 2026 IISE Annual Conference and Expo, which will be held May 16 –19, 2026, in Arlington, TX. This award will support students' conference registration fees and partially support travel/lodging costs to encourage participation. Our goal is to support students across a wide range of Industrial and Systems Engineering disciplines, with particular emphasis on students who would otherwise be unable to attend the conference due to a lack of travel support. The following award criteria will be used to select recipients of the student travel awards.
Eligibility and required materials:
- Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a university in the United States.
- Awardees are required to attend the three-day conference and participate in the technical sessions and other events set by the award organizing committee. Details of these activities will be provided in the award notification.
- A statement (maximum 300 words) describing the applicant’s financial need and how conference attendance will support their academic and professional goals.
- A letter of support from a faculty member at the applicant’s home institution.
If the number of eligible applicants exceeds available funding, the following additional criteria will be used to prioritize selections:
- Applicant is presenting at the conference
- Applicant is participating in “Best Track Paper Competition”, “Best Student Paper Competition”, or “Student Poster Competition” session in the conference.
- Applicant has submitted a full paper for publication in the conference proceeding

- Complete and sign the downloaded form. Scan or save the form as a PDF with a file size of not more than 2 MB.
- Rename to the required PDF filename format: Travel2026_yourlastname_yourfirstname.pdf.
- Have the signed form ready to upload when completing your application.
