    Dear PPTG members,

    We are seeking session chairs/co-chairs for the Perception and Performance Technical Group (STTG) at the 2024 HFES Annual Meeting – ASPIRE in Phoenix, AZ from September 9-13, 2024. 

    Serving as a session chair or co-chair offers a valuable professional development experience. This role allows you to contribute to the organization, gain wider exposure, share insights, and network with colleagues. The chair is responsible for moderating the session, including introducing speakers, managing time, and handling Q&A sessions. The co-chair provides support to the chair in these duties.

    This year, PPTG has 10 sessions that are in need of support. Below is a list of sessions and their respective dates and times (all in Mountain Standard Time, MST). All sessions have a total of 3 presenters (except for discussion panels).

    Tuesday, 9/10 

    11:15am -12:15pm

    Wednesday, 9/11

    PP5: How to Study Vigilance: Methodological Issues in the Sustained Attention Research

     Thursday, 9/12

    PP7: Information & Safety

    1:30pm -2:30pm

    PP8: Perception of Automation

    4:15pm - 5:15pm

    PP9: Detection & Measurement of Human Biometrics & Behavior

    PP10: Discriminator: Exploring Highlighting Techniques in Vast Natural Image Databases

Double-check that you do not have any conflicts at the times that you select before signing up. Chair/co-chair assignments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Early career professionals and senior graduate students are highly encouraged to volunteer.
