I hope all of you guys had a great time in Atlanta and are safely back to your daily life. I am seeking nominations from my fellow OETG members for the upcoming leadership roles. You can self-nominate and/or nominate someone who you think could step up and lead the way!
Attached you will find the responsibilities for each role and general operating policies to help lead the community. This is the latest copy of the draft. Future OETG committees can work with the HFES executive council members to make changes in these operating policies.
As per the suggestions from the HFES executive member and based on the HFES Operating Rules (section 15.5), which mentions 2-year terms for the TG chair, I am seeking nomination for the TG Chair position for a 2-year term, Program Chair position for a 1-year term, and Newsletter Editor position for a 2-year term.
If any of you are interested or would like to nominate someone to serve in the next OETG leadership roles, could you please let me know ASAP? I would greatly appreciate it if you please send a blurb of your bio and a photograph (or the nominee's bio and photograph) to me by midnight next Wednesday, Oct 19.
So far, I have received two nominees for the TG Chair, three for the Program Chair, and one for the Newsletter Editor position.
