About the UCD Award
Established in 2001, the UCD Award emphasizes both product design and the user-centered design methods used to achieve it. It recognizes innovative and user-centered approaches to Human Factors and Industrial Design. Eligible nominations include products, software, or systems purchased for use in the home, workplace, or while mobile, encompassing consumer, commercial, and medical products. Military equipment or systems are excluded. The nominated product or system must be operational at the time of submission and should not have been on the market for more than three years.
