    XRTG is excited to recognize Khalid Bello, a doctoral student at University of Louisville - Industrial and Systems Engineering, and his advisor Dr. Faisal Aqlan on receiving the 2026 ASEE Industrial Engineering Division Outstanding Student Paper Award!
    Khalid and his coauthors explored collaboration of engineering teams in MR (mixed reality), incorporating a variety of measures related to usability, teamwork, and physiology. Their efforts are expanding the body of knowledge on team-based learning in immersive environments.
    Khalid previously won first place in the XRTG HFES Annual Student Awards (2025). We are excited to see where his research leads and are proud to see important HFE principles being incorporated meaningfully into research!
