Human Factors & Urban Ergonomics Lab (HumanFuel) at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Post Doctoral Associate to work with Dr. Linda Boyle.

The Human Factors and Urban Ergonomics Lab (Human FUEL) is dedicated to designing systems centered on the end user. Our research focuses on understanding and enhancing human performance and behavior as people interact with complex systems, with the ultimate goal of improving operator safety, productivity, and comfort.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate is expected to be responsible for the following:

Conduct literature reviews and synthesize findings,

Design and conduct experiments on driver/pedestrian/user behavior,

Collect and analyze human performance data (reaction times, workload, situational awareness, eye tracking, etc.),

Develop and validate computational models of human behavior in driving scenarios,

Collaborate on peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers,
-
Contribute to grant proposals and progress reports,

Supervise or co-mentor graduate and undergraduate students,
-
Coordinate with external sponsors as needed,

Manage IRB protocols and ensure ethical research compliance,

Maintain research equipment (driving simulators, VR headsets, eyetracking glasses, motion capture inside out/outside in devices, heart rate sensors),

Contribute to lab operations.
Salary range
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $75,000 depending on the candidate's experience and qualification.
