    Two Funded Ph.D. Student Positions at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas, USA

    Incoming Assistant Professor, Dr. Nade Liang within the Department of Industrial, Manufacturing, & Systems Engineering (IMSE) at Texas Tech University (TTU) is looking for two Ph.D. students who want to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Human Factors and Cognitive Engineering. Dr. Liang conducts a variety of research projects aimed at sensing and modeling human behaviors and creating engineering solutions to support performance in human-in-the-loop systems. The doctoral student will work on multiple Human Factors research projects related to automated driving systems, advanced air mobility systems, and human-automation interactions. This position is fully funded covering tuition and a competitive monthly stipend. An expected start date is September 1, 2024.

    Position requirements:

    1. A recent bachelor's or master's degree (preferred) in industrial, transportation, computer engineering, experimental psychology, applied statistics, or other related engineering discipline.
    2. Prior experience in Human Factors and Ergonomics research.
    3. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
