Our featured speaker will be Dr. Tony McDonald from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Seminar Title: Active Inference for Driving Safety: A New Lens on Driver Behavior
About the Talk: This talk will provide a brief introduction to Active Inference theory and discuss how it can be applied to driving safety and driver behavior analysis to provide novel insights including understanding trust, decision-making, and managing uncertainty. The talk will conclude with a discussion of research needs and future directions.
About the Speaker: Dr. Tony McDonald is an Associate Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research focuses on machine learning and cognitive modeling to improve transportation safety and health outcomes.
