I would like to hear your perspectives on repetitive strain injury (RSI).

Some researchers consider RSI a legitimate work-related musculoskeletal disorder, while others argue that the term is too broad and that symptoms may have multiple contributing factors.

    In your opinion:

    • Does RSI exist as a distinct workplace condition?

    • If so, should it always be regarded as a compensable workplace injury, or should compensation depend on evidence that the work activities caused or significantly contributed to the condition?

I would appreciate hearing your experiences from ergonomics, occupational health, manufacturing, healthcare, or other Human Factors Engineering fields.
