    Hello Senior Ergonomists,

I am doing a cross-comparison of a few different ergonomic softwares/systems and wanted to know if any of you have had any experiences using the following softwares:

    1. Cardinus risk management
    2. Ergo IQ fit
    3. Cority OES
    4. Velocity EHS
    5. Virtue Health
    6. Wellnomics
    7. Tumeke
If you have, what are the pros & cons that you have gotten from them? Anything you wish a software could improve upon? Expensive but well worth the cost?
    ANYTHING HELPS THANK YOU.

    Hello Isaiah!

    How are you?

I'm in this journey for 5 years trying to developing a software to manage the ergonomics issues.

If you want to talk more about it, it'll be a pleasure!

I do believe that is the optimized way to manage the ergonomics risks and try out the very best solutions.

It's not cheap, I can sure you but it worths.

At the next december, I'll receive the first module.

I'll let you know about it.

    We'll be in touch.

    Best regards!

    Hello,

I have tried some of the software you mentioned, Tumeke being one of them.

The visual aids and the ability to blur out either the person, background or both were great.

The underlying issues I have encountered is the calculations or proprietary processes they are using to determine if the task is an ergonomic risk or not an ergonomic risk.

Many of the softwares use RULA, REBA or the NIOSH Lifting Equation which with newer research (look up research by Dr. Potvin) are being proven to not appropriately identify risk. Even if you overlook this you are using ergonomic equations that were developed 30 plus years ago. If they are using new proprietary information it is difficult if not impossible to get research or even white papers on the process they are using.

Those above reasons alone have prevented me from justifying use of the software, secondarily the price.

I have used and like some components of a program called It Works which is by Dr. Potvin. It has a few glitches but uses the new calculations that Dr. Potvin and his team have developed since Snook and Cirello (they actually were able to get all the original research from these two when they retired). Their research is new, published as recent as 2021. Software is not fancy like Tumeke but puts out some great excel documents that can be used in a report.

Not sure if this feedback will be helpful or not but maybe when talking with reps from the various softwares it will give you some ideas of questions to ask.

PS. I have no affiliation with any of the softwares. I am a small independent consultant that doesn't spend money unnecessarily and wanted to make sure I did my research before I spent my hard earned money on anything.

I have two software programs to add, but they are high-end programs (expensive) that use large anthropometric databases:

    1. RAMSIS - Humanetics Digital | Data Model Creation & Simulation Software
    2. Technomatix by Siemens - Process Simulate X Human Advanced | Siemens Software

Both are expensive and not for the faint of heart but can bring in environments modeled in 3D and allow you to conduct ergonomic evaluations before you have built prototypes. We recently compared both of them for a large project that we have coming up. Technomatix is what "JACK" morphed into after Siemens picked that up and the US Army recently moved to using RAMSIS in lieu of JACK.
