Council of Technical Groups

The BIPOC Affinity Group has been hard at work on iHFE (Inclusive HFE) Day. On this day we work to bring in local and out of town minority students who are in HFE programs, engage them in the conference sessions, network with them over lunch and throughout the day, and help them learn about career options within the profession. The goal is to bring between 12-15 students this year. BIPOC would like to put an ask out to TGs/leadership to contribute to helping sponsor students to attend this day. This is a great way to help engage those who are the future of the profession who otherwise wouldn't be able to do so.

Any amount is welcomed, and TGs would receive recognition for their sponsorship. If they donate $250 or more they would also get points towards the Circle of Excellence. If TGs are interested they just need to email Susan (susan.kotowski@uc.edu) ASAP with their TG name and the amount and we'll get the transfer coordinated with staff.
