Dear TTG Members,
The Training TG has been privileged to be featured as the "HFES TG of the Month" in August! On behalf of the TTG Chairs, I would like to thank everyone who have contributed to various activities, hosted throughout the month.
We were excited to host the first "Students Winners Showcase" where previous recipients of the TTG Best Paper or Best Proposal Awards shared their research with the HFES/TTG community. Thank you, our speakers - Ashley Warren, Reganne Miller, and Xiang Yang, and TTG Chairs and facilitators - Angel Wong, and Lillian Asiala. More so, we were super excited to co-host the Webinar with the Extended Reality Technical Group on 'Moderating and Measuring Competency Development in Immersive Learning Environments'. Many thanks to Dr Benjamin Goldberg for the engaging and highly informative presentations. If you have missed any of these presentations, you would be able to view them via the HFES webinar library.
The ASPIRE International Annual Meeting is just less than a week away! On behalf of the Training TG, I would like to thank everyone who have put a submission to the TTG this year, to the reviewers who have volunteered their time to support the process of selection the submission, and the Program Chair, Megan Morris for leading this process! I would like to thank our awards reviewers who have completed an important mission for 3 TTG featured awards, and the Awards Chair, Jim McCarthy, who have led this process!
I would like to announce that the TTG is currently looking for EOI for the following roles:
- Vice-Chair-Elect
- Vice-Program Chair Elect
- Awards Chair
- Events Chair
