Please vote for your favorite candidate by midnight, November 4, 2022. I have attached a short biography and a photograph of each candidate. The survey will take 1 - 2 minutes of your busy schedule. Greetings OETG:
    Thank you Dr. Chowdhury!
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Tom Rowell.  I am an independent ergonomics consultant (living ~ 30 miles north of Austin TX).  I am a member of HFES and IISE/AES.  I am running for a position with the OETG to get more involved with OETG and HFES activities.  Previously I held a board positions with the Applied Ergonomics Society (IISE).  As many of you know HFES and AES/IISE entered into a MOU about a year ago.  The purpose of the MOU is to foster collaboration/communication/and joint activity between the organizations (with the goal of furthering and promoting the science & practice of ergonomics).  I think all of us can get behind that.  After my time on the AES board I was asked to act as the liaison between AES and HFES to continue joint efforts to promote the MOU and help drive collaborative efforts as well as joint activities.  So I am tossing my name in the ring to become a more integral part of OETG with the intent of furthering that goal of promoting science & practice of ergonomics as well as strengthen the relationship between HFES and AES.

I sincerely appreciate your vote.  If you have any questions or comments please participate in this message thread.  The link to the voting website is attached below.  Regardless of who is voted into OETG leadership I look forward to working with the OETG and HFES Leadership to further the efforts of the MOU with AES.  Best regards,

Tom: I appreciate you running for a leadership position in the OETG!  Your knowledge of both the academic and practitioner sides of the ergonomics discipline, and your dedication to professional ergonomics service itself, would be very helpful to the group.  Good luck!
