The EXTENDED REALITY TECHNICAL GROUP is concerned with human factors issues associated with human-virtual environment interaction. These issues include maximizing human performance efficiency in virtual environments, ensuring health and safety, and circumventing potential social problems through proactive assessment. For VE/VR systems to be effective and well received by their users, researchers need to focus significant efforts on addressing human factors issues. Names chage from Virtual Environments Technical Group to Extended Reality Group on January 27, 2023

    Hello VETG and HFES!

    HFES2022 is off and running. It's going to be a great week with a packed agenda.

    I wanted to share updated information about our Annual TG Business Meeting scheduled for 12 OCT 2022, 5:30PM - 7:00PM. We will conduct our event directly following the Poster Session at the near-by restaurant Meehan's Public House Downtown.

    We will have appetizers and two-drink tickets for everyone in attendance.

    Here's the rough agenda (presentation will begin ~6:00PM):
    (1) Introduction of VETG Officers
    (2) Upcoming Elections and Engagements
    (3) Year-end Review of Activities and Future Planning
    (4) Financial Report
    (5) BEST STUDENT PAPER AWARD and HONORABLE MENTION ANNOUNCED
