Greetings Product Design and Sustainability Technical Group (TG) members.
I'm a member of both of these Technical Groups (TGs). In a recent Sustainability TG meeting, the idea of a panel presentation and / or webinar on the topic of Smart Thermostats / Energy Feedback was discussed. We see great promise in helping people reduce their energy consumption in residential and commercial buildings if they are given real-time information on energy consumption and costs. Since this topic seems to fit squarely in the overlap between these two technical groups, I volunteered to see if I could identify people with expertise in this area. The thought is that we might be able to submit a proposal for a panel discussion at the upcoming annual meeting and / or plan an HFES webinar on this topic.
