    The Human Systems Lab at the University of Windsor is looking for highly motivated candidates for funded Master's and PhD positions in Human Factors with a start date of Fall 2024. The multidisciplinary research team led by Dr. Francesco N. Biondi has active projects in the fields of:

    • Driver interaction with automated driving systems and development of driver monitoring systems (DMS).
    • Cognitive Ergonomics investigating the human operator's cognitive and visual load of using manufacturing workstations.
    Qualification requirements

    Master's degree in Psychology, Industrial Engineering, Cognitive Science, Kinesiology or related fields with a minimum 80% GPA in the last 2 years

    Excellent English skills (written and oral)

    Past experience conducting experimental and Human Factors studies.

    Past experience in signal processing and machine learning. (preferred)

    Knowledge of R, Matlab, and Python (preferred)

    Main duties and responsibilities

    Data collection using physiological measures and driving simulator

    Data processing using software such as R, Matlab, and Python.

    Signal processing, data modeling, and machine learning

    Dissemination of research findings at conferences and via publications
