The Occupational Ergonomics and Practitioner Technical Groups would like to invite HFES members to submit nominations for an exceptional Practitioner of the Year, who will be recognized along with other award winners at the OETG Business meeting at ASPIRE 2024. The winner will receive a $300 award, certificate, and inclusion with other award winners in OETG's social media posts and newsletter. Nominations (and self-nominations) need to include at least one letter of recommendation that recognizes exceptional contributions to the field of workplace ergonomics and a written summary of why you believe this person deserves recognition.
Excellence in Practice may include (but not limited to):
- Significant reduction in workplace injury (must be measured)
- Significant improvement in process (must be measured)
- Time saving
- Cost saving
- Quality improvement
- Waste reduction
- Significant improvement in workplace fit to the worker
- Exceptional application of ergonomics principles in the workplace
- Innovative approach to employee awareness, involvement, and/or education
- Use of ergonomics analysis tools in the workplace
- Implementation and integration of ergonomics program
