The HUMAN PERFORMANCE MODELING TECHNICAL GROUP The Human Performance Modeling Technical Group focuses on the development and application of predictive, reliable, and executable quantitative models of human performance. In distinction to other approaches to behavioral and cognitive modeling, human performance modeling considers the human, engaged in some goal-directed behavior, in the context of a designed task environment.

    The University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) Biosciences group is seeking a PostDoctoral Research Fellow.  The Biosciences Group conducts research that spans anthropometry, ergonomics, biomechanics, human factors and modeling, focusing on vehicle design, occupant protection, and safety assessment. We are currently seeking a postdoc to participate in ergonomics and human factors research related to analyzing and modeling vehicle occupant behavior and/or response in automated vehicles (AV).
