Dear OETG members and other HFES friends:
Sorry for the repeated post (or emails). I want to make two changes to the agenda items of our OETG business meeting on Wednesday, Oct 12, 2022, from 5:30 - 7:30 pm in Room A601. The NEW meeting agenda is as follows:
- OETG program update
- Exit note from the Chair-Elect (on behalf of the current committee)
- Election announcement and call for nominations for the upcoming committee
- Introducing new leadership
- Open discussion forum to galvanize the Occupational Ergo TG.
- Collaboration between OETG/HFES and Applied Ergonomics Society
Why I am making these changes: I have been suggested by senior HFES members to make an open-call announcement to select the new committees through the election process. Due to the time shortage, we could not complete the election process before the 2022 HFES business meeting. If any of you are interested to run for the Program Chair or Chair-Elect positions for the Occupational Ergo TG, please let me know at your earliest convenience. If you have any questions about the roles and responsibilities of these two positions, please let me know. I will also discuss them in the business meeting. In addition, if you are interested in these two roles, attending the OETG business meeting will be helpful to you. Once I will get a handful number of interested people, I will try to initiate the election process as quickly as possible.
Open discussion on the collaboration between OETG/HFES and the Applied Ergonomics Society has also been added.
