The Department of Engineering Education (EED) (https://eed.osu.edu) at The Ohio State University (OSU) (https://www.osu.edu) is searching for a new department chair.
The new chair should be a bold leader who can envision innovative ways for the department to educate the next generation of diverse engineering leaders. It is anticipated that the EED will grow in size and influence over the next 5 to 10 years. Through their strong record of ethical behavior, integrity and transparency, the chair will need to cultivate and sustain an equitable, diverse and inclusive environment that encourages people to meet their full potential, including through faculty and staff development, hiring and retention, and undergraduate and graduate student recruitment and retention. The chair, who reports to the Dean of the College of Engineering, will be responsible for all administrative, budgetary, and personnel decisions within the EED, and will be responsible for leadership, management, and strategic vision for the next phase of the EED's growth.
