The HUMAN PERFORMANCE MODELING TECHNICAL GROUP The Human Performance Modeling Technical Group focuses on the development and application of predictive, reliable, and executable quantitative models of human performance. In distinction to other approaches to behavioral and cognitive modeling, human performance modeling considers the human, engaged in some goal-directed behavior, in the context of a designed task environment.

    The Department of Industrial and Operations Engineering (IOE) at the University of Michigan (U-M) invites applications for faculty positions at all levels (assistant, associate, and full professor) for an appointment beginning September 2024. 

    We will consider candidates in all areas related to Industrial and Operations Engineering, including operations research, human factors and ergonomics, data analytics and related disciplines. The many application areas in the department include energy and sustainability, health and human safety, manufacturing, mobility and transportation, operations management, public policy and robotics.
