Subject Line: Ergonomics Practitioner of the year award by OETG and Practitioner Group
Long overdue to come back after the pandemic is the practitioner award. HFES recognizes many professionals across a wide spectrum of practice. This year we are once again inviting HFES members in the physical work-place ergonomics realm to submit nominations for an exceptional practitioner.
Practitioner of the year will be recognized along with other award winners at the OETG Business meeting. Winner will receive a $300 award, certificate, and inclusion with other award winners in OETG social media posts and newsletter.
Nominations need to include at least one letter of recommendation that recognizes exceptional contribution to the field of workplace ergonomics and a written summary of why you believe this person is deserving of recognition.
Excellence in Practice may include (but not limited to):
· Significant reduction in workplace injury (must be measured)
· Significant improvement in process (must be measured)
o Time saving
o Cost saving
o Quality improvement
o Waste reduction
· Significant improvement in workplace fit to the worker
· Exceptional application of ergonomics principles in the workplace
· Innovative approach to employee awareness, involvement, and/or education
· Use of ergonomics analysis tools in the workplace
· Implementation and integration of ergonomics program
