Hello Education TG members!

I wanted to give a brief update on the Ed TG along with a couple requests. For those that do not know me, I am Dr. Scotty Craig, an associate professor in Human Systems Engineering at Arizona State University. I am currently the elected Program Chair for the Ed TG. I am also the acting Chair for the Ed TG having taken over for TJ, Thomas Smith, last month. I am happy to help get our TG moving forward again. But I need your help with that.

I need names for new officers. We need to hold TG elections. This should have been done last year but elections were not held. So, I am currently the only officer. I worked with HFES to set up a call for nomination last month. Unfortunately, we only had one nomination for communications (web) director. We still need nominations for other positions so that we can hold elections. Open positions are TG Chair, TG Program Chair, Communications Officer, Secretary/treasurer, and Newsletter Editor. I need volunteers to review conference submissions. Submission process for the HFES conference has completed. The EdTG had 19 submissions: Alternative Format (1), Panels (5), Talks (11), and Posters (2). If you can help with reviewing, please email me, scotty.craig@asu.edu.

Finally, I have been working with our former communications officer, Deb Prewitt, to get an updated website for the EdTG. HFES is no longer able to update the old website and we were asked to set up an external site. Please email me if you have any feedback/suggestions.
