CTG Members:
It is time for the Communications Technical Group (CTG) to hold elections for our officers for 2024, so we are putting out a call for nominations!
For all positions (see descriptions below), the work is not difficult, takes only a modest amount of time, but is tremendously valuable to the Society and your fellow HF/E professionals. Please consider nominating yourself or a respected colleague.
The deadline for submitting nominations is Wednesday November 15, 2023.
Nominations (or questions about the nominations / election process) should be directed to the outgoing CTG Chair Aaron Bangor at: Aaron_Bangor@labs.att.com. The Chair and Program Chair roles must be Full Members of HFES that are CTG members, but all other roles need only be CTG members (including student members).

Chair
The Chair has overall responsibility for the technical group. The chair works with HFES leadership to schedule the TG's annual business meeting and arranging other events with the TG's officers and membership to ensure that TG activities are being carried out. The chair also represents the TG as a member of the Council of Technical Groups.
Program Chair
The Program Chair is responsible for overseeing the technical review of proposals submitted for the HFES Annual Meeting and arranging sessions for approved work.
Secretary-Treasurer
The Secretary-Treasurer is responsible for overseeing the TG's finances and records, as needed. Works with the Chair on disbursement of funds and HFES leadership where financial records for TGs are held.
Newsletter Editor / Communications Chair
The Newsletter Editor or Communications Chair is responsible for coordinating all electronic communications to TG members, including creation/dissemination of a newsletter, announcements on HFES forums, etc.
