  • 1.  2024 Nominations for HART TG Vice Chair and TG Program Vice Chair

    Dear HART TG members, 

    In line with the HFES Council of Technical Groups (COTG)'s new election practices, we invite you to nominate yourself or other qualified individuals for two HART TG positions: (1) Technical Group Vice Chair (TG Vice Chair) and (2) Technical Group Annual Meeting Program Vice Chair (TG Program Vice Chair). 

    These two positions will support the 2025 TG Chair (Dr. Kelly Neville from MITRE) and TG Program Chair (Dr. Guliz Tokadli from Collins Aerospace) for one year from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025; and then step up to serve as the TG Chair and TG Program Chair for one year from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026. 

    Below is brief role description of what you will be supporting in 2025 and what you will become in 2026. HART TG will have an operational manual and other support for you as well. 

    TG Chair

    • Leading the TG officers and committee to set up goals through monthly TG development meetings

    • Organizing monthly TG member conversations

    • Organizing HFES annual business meetings

    • Overseeing the social events at the annual conferences

    • Handling general requests from the Council of Technical Groups

    • Coordinating with the team to handle new emerging issues

    • Optimizing TG structure and practices as needed

    • Other creative ideas

    TG Program Chair

    • Organizing HFES annual conference paper review around March/April (main task)

    • Reporting annual submission at the HFES HART TG annual business meeting

    • Overseeing the social events at the annual conferences

    • Contributing to monthly TG development meeting

    • Contributing to monthly TG member conversations

    If you would like to serve on the HART TG leadership team somehow, you can also express your interest on the nomination form. Other positions (e.g., secretary/treasurer, webmaster) will be selected by the TG Chair and TG Annual Program Chair, not by voting.

    Dear HART TG members, 

    This is a reminder that nominations for the new officer positions are due on Monday, October 14, 2024. 

    On a scale from 1 (extremely unlikely) to 10 (extremely likely) with 5 being neutral, if your willingness to run for any of the positions is 7+ and needs more information and encouragement, please feel free to contact me. New officers will have different leadership styles and can change things. Rules are lifeless, and humans are alive.
