The Disability / Chronic Illness Affinity Group community is a space for networking, mentorship, and advocacy within HFES for people identifying as disabled or living with a chronic health condition.

    I am a parent of a Paralympic athlete, long-time member and Board member of the Society for Disability Studies (SDS), as well as a long-time HFES member and educator. I currently sit on our campus accessibility committee, and am involved in a new initiative for neurodiverse students.
