    Hi All,
Please share this faculty opening in our great department in the heart of Silicon Valley and the Bay Area.
Human Factors / UX Assistant or Associate faculty position: https://jobs.sjsu.edu/en-us/job/497874/
With the recent HFES site confusion, I'd like to make sure we got the message out.
    More details below,
    - Dan
For people who might be interested:
I strongly encourage anyone who would like to work in a collegial, cooperative department to apply to join our human factors program faculty. The position is in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at San José State University but our Human Factors program includes a wonderful group of colleagues in the departments of Psychology, Kinesiology, and Industrial Design.
I can easily say that I feel supported by my chair, dean, provost, president, and colleagues in other departments/colleges. It has been a pleasure working here. Depending on their research interests, etc., new faculty will have the opportunity to save a lot of time by using our already-built $250k showcase human factors & usability testing lab which features a home living room area, and other areas that have been used to mock-up driving simulators, realistic operating rooms, and a breadth of other studies.
The opening is at assistant or associate levels. The application closes January 25th, 2021.
The department is a great fit for faculty who care about teaching, research, and having an impact. SJSU has strong collaborations with NASA, Silicon Valley industry, startups, local hospitals, and has a strong track record of federal grants.
The SJSU ISE department is home to one of the oldest HF/E programs on the west coast, and the only HFES accredited MS program in the San Francisco Bay Area / Silicon Valley. The ISE department is nationally ranked for its undergraduate program. SJSU as an institution continually tops the nation for upward mobility of our students and its impact on Silicon Valley.
Responsibilities include teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs, providing leadership in the department graduate programs, advising students, and developing a research program.
Further details are below and available at https://jobs.sjsu.edu/en-us/job/497874/assistant-or-associate-professor-industrial-and-systems-engineering
    Regards,
    - Dan
