I am happy to announce that the new COTG Chair-Elect is Tamsyn Edwards. After this Annual Meeting Matthew Bolton will become Chair and Tamsyn will become Chair-Elect for the next two years. So you can get to know Tamsyn, I included a short bio below:
Dr. Tamsyn Edwards is a Senior Researcher/ Principle Investigator with San Jose State University and NASA Ames. Tamsyn's research interests are primarily in the domain of human factors applications to safety critical industries, with a specific focus on human performance within the air traffic control domain. In her current role, Tamsyn focuses on research that explores future aviation concepts. Prior to her current role, Tamsyn worked as a Human Factors specialist at NATS, the UK-based Air navigation service provider. In 2013, Tamsyn completed a PhD from the University of Nottingham, UK, in collaboration with EUROCONTROL, which investigated interactions between co-occurring factors (such as workload, fatigue, situation awareness) and the associated impact on controller performance. Tamsyn is also a trained Human Factors investigator of air traffic control incidents.We will have our Annual Meeting business meeting on Fri, Oct 2 from 3-5pm (EDT).
