The EXTENDED REALITY TECHNICAL GROUP is concerned with human factors issues associated with human-virtual environment interaction. These issues include maximizing human performance efficiency in virtual environments, ensuring health and safety, and circumventing potential social problems through proactive assessment. For VE/VR systems to be effective and well received by their users, researchers need to focus significant efforts on addressing human factors issues. You've probably seen announcements from other corners of the HFES-Universe but the deadline for submissions to the national conference has been pushed back to this Friday, March 12th.  Please consider submitting your work related to virtual environments this year!  The submission site can be found here:  HFES Submission Portal.  Good luck finishing your submissions and I look forward to seeing your work and hopefully all of you later this year in Baltimore!
