The AEROSPACE SYSTEMS TECHNICAL GROUP is concerned with the application of human factors to the development, design, certification, operation, and maintenance of human-machine systems in aviation and space environments. The group addresses issues for civilian and military systems in the realms of performance and safety.

    Hello ASTG members,

    As we near this year's virtual annual meeting, it's time to gather volunteers for session chairs!

    Your role as chair will be to help to facilitate any questions that arise during the virtual session.  I will provide specific information to volunteers, as we recognize this year's meeting will be a bit different than in past years.

    Our session times are as follows:
    10/5:   4:00pm - 5:30pm - General Aviation Weather Hazards
    10/6:   12:00pm - 1:30pm - Human Factors Challenges in Urban Air Mobility
    10/6:    2:00pm - 3:00pm - Innovation is Here to Stay: Autonomy and the Human
    10/6:    4:00pm - 5:30pm - Human Factors in Future Vertical Lift: The US Army's Next Generation Rotorcraft
    10/7:    12:00pm - 1:30pm - Designing the Future: Technologies in Aerospace
    10/7:    2:00pm - 3:00pm - Safety is a Journey, Not a Destination: Understanding and Mitigating Risks
