Joseph G. Sprague New Investigator Award Now Accepting Submissions

The Joseph G. Sprague New Investigator Award, created by The Center for Health Design and funded by the Sprague Foundation, strives to encourage up-and-coming researchers to examine how the built environment impacts outcomes in healthcare settings. Priority will be given to the studies focused on design that supports (1) staff well-being, (2) mental and behavioral health, (3) aging, and (4) pediatric care.
Who Can Enter: Investigators in the early phases of their research career (academia and professional practice), are encouraged to apply. Current graduate students and those who have graduated with a research degree within the past three years are eligible.
Award Presentation: The Center for Health Design will present up to two awards of up to $15,000 each to individuals in the early phase of their research career. Award recipients will receive complimentary registration to attend the International Summit & Exhibition on Health Facility Planning, Design & Construction - PDC Summit, where they will have the opportunity to present their completed study. The award recipient will also receive guidance through The Center for one year.
