Preparations are underway for the mHealth Student App Design Competition at the 2024 Human Factors in Health Care Symposium! We are reaching out to seek reviewers, coaches, and judges for the various stages of the competition. These roles are typically fulfilled by individuals from industry and academia with significant experience designing and implementing digital applications, particularly in health care. The scope and timelines for the roles are briefly described:
- Submissions of the initial entries are due December 4th 2023. The proposals will be made available to assigned reviewers. Reviews will be due by December 22nd 2023. We anticipate assigning up to 2 proposals to each reviewer.
- Teams selected for the semi-finals will be assigned coaches. Coaches will meet with their assigned teams between January 2 and February 17, 2024 toward helping them prepare their final submissions.
- Semi-finalists' submissions will be reviewed between February 13 and February 24, 2024 by assigned reviewers. Three finalist teams will be selected.
- The finalists will present their designs during the Symposium week before a panel of judges.
