Our July TG member conversation will have Dr. Dave Miller, from the University of Central Florida (UCF), be our guest speaker. The topic of his lightning talk is Human-agent Moral Conflict. We will have small group discussions after the lightning talk.
Dr. Dave Miller's Bio: Dave Miller is currently a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Central Florida, in the department of Industrial Engineering and Management Systems. His current research focuses on optimizing information transfer between humans and computers. Previously, he was a postdoc at Cornell University and earned his doctorate in Communication Research at Stanford University. At Stanford, he studied human-computer conflict using virtual reality, as well as investigating the problems of partial automation. He has worked in human factors consulting, interface design, and medical product development.
