Dear HART TG members,
We will continue to host our monthly HART TG Member Conversations on the last Tuesday of each month at 12 pm ET. This is a great learning and network opportunity in HART TG.Our April event will be on Tue, April 26th, at 12 pm ET. The topic of the lightning talk will be Measuring Real-time Coordination Dynamics: Extensible Models and Metrics for Human-AI-Robot Teaming. Our invited speaker is
Dr. Jamie Gorman. A rough agenda is about 10 min lightning talk, 20 min Q&A, and 30 min small group networking.
Dr. Jamie Gorman is a Professor in Engineering Psychology at Georgia Tech. His research on team performance in complex sociotechnical settings includes medical, military, educational, space, and sports settings. His research focuses on understanding and modeling team coordination dynamics in human and human-AI teaming using dynamical systems theory, computational modeling, and real-time methods by combining communication (speech pattern analysis), perceptual-motor (eye and motion tracking), vehicle/equipment (positioning, movement, and status), and neurophysiological (EEG) data. Dr. Gorman is recognized for his work on team coordination dynamics, and he has published over 45 journal articles and book chapters on the topic. His research has been funded by AFOSR, AFRL, ARL, DARPA, ONR, and NSF. Dr. Gorman is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society and the NSF Institute for Student-AI Teaming. He serves on the editorial boards of Human Factors and the Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied. In 2011, he and his co-authors received the Ely Award for the best paper published in Human Factors.
